Three Weeks

Miss Tyler Grey is three weeks old today. It already feels like she has been with us forever. Taryn is super proud, although Granddaddy managed to convince Taryn to trade Tyler in for a new puppy! I know she would love to have a puppy, but I am sure in a few months she will love playing with Tyler! :) We have been some busy girls lately! Last week, we went to Va. Beach to visit Great-Grandma Craig, and Sunday we were in Goldsboro for lunch with Great-Grandmama "Coy" as Taryn calls her. We have had a great time. Pretty soon I will head back to work, Taryn will start daycare/school, and Tyler will start going to Granny's house. :( The time has flown by, but we all need to get in a routine! This week Taryn is off in the mountains with Granny and Papa, so Tyler and I have been doing our own thing. Yesterday we went to the office. Today we have been chilling at home, because we had a rough night! I will try to make into the office again tomorrow, but we will see! :)

With Great Grandmama

Such a great big sister!

Kinda morbid, I know, but we have done this since Hallie. We take each new baby to "meet" my Pappy....... I call it the "Simba Moment". We take a single pink rose, babies breath (how appropriate) and an "It's a Girl" balloon to the Mausoleum where my grandfather was laid to rest. We "present" the baby to him like Mufasa did with Simba in the Lion King. He's way up there, like the fourth one up or so, and we have to get on a chair just to put the flowers up.... Pappy took such pride in his granddaughters, I just wish he was here to enjoy his great-granddaughters. I know he watches over us all, and I miss him greatly.

Play Ball.....Bombers!

Well, we arrived home Thursday around 1pm and we have been on the go ever since......First up, Taryn's VERY FIRST T-ball game!
Tyler had a dr. appointment Saturday morning. She had dropped to 5lb. 10oz by the time we left the hospital and she was a little jaundice. Good news, she was up to 5lb. 130z at on saturday. Here she is getting a tan to reduce her jaundice! We went back to the dr. on Monday and she was up to 5lb. 15oz. almost back at birthweight! They say babies should be back up to birthweight by day 10, and was a 1/2 oz shy on day 6! :)

Hallie was so sweet! She made Tyler a book!

5lb. 15.60z

So, I am a little behind.....I have been busy! :) Little Miss Tyler was born July 21. I started having pretty serious contractions Monday (20) night on the way home from work. I told Mark, but we weren't really sure that this was is it. With Taryn my water broke and there was no mistaking it. Mark kept thinking that since it broke last time that it would this time...... I had to go by my instructions that the Dr. Office gave me. After about two hours of steady contractions, I called the hospital. To my surprise, Dr. Bird was on call......YAY!!!!! She delivered Taryn, too! :) Anyway, we dropped Taryn off with Mark's parents on our way to the hospital. We got in and about two hours later, NOTHING! The contractions had slowed down, and I was only about 3 cm. Dr. Bird broke my water around 3:45am and the contractions picked up, and slowed again. Around 7:45am she decided to start pitocin. I think my nurse had it high becuase as soon as one contraction would end another began! I got a new nurse at 8, and by 9 I was begging for an epidural! I also got a new dr. at 8.... :( boo, but Dr. Chappel was great! Once I got the epidural, my nurse said that I shouldn't feel anything and would hopefully be able to get some sleep while the pitocin did it's stuff......hahahahaha, yeah right! I think the epidural made me progress faster because by 11:15 or so they were calling for the dr. because it was "baby time"...... a little prep work and 4 pushes later Tyler was here! :) Born in the same room, on the same day of the month as Taryn, and had she arrived before 8am she would have had the same Dr.!
