1. Taryn finished out the first week of daycare on a positive note! :) We went out Friday night and bought her some "Light-up Shoes" as promised.
2. Not only did Taryn bring home light-ups shoes at the end of the week......she brought home a virus too. :( She had a super high fever of 103.7......she never has a fever that high. So we went to the doctor on Sunday. Not strep, not flu. Not sure what she has. Fantastic.
3. Taryn got to stay home with Daddy yesterday and rest. Tyler joined them that afternoon.
4. I've posted a few blogs today, trying to catch up.
5. I am meeting with a former coworker for lunch today! I haven't seen her since December. :(
6. I should be meeting my cousin sometime for lunch this week, too, as she plans to focus on her own business for while, and won't be coming to this side of Raleigh anymore. :( I was so getting used to our monthly lunch dates.
7. I am getting very excited about Taryn starting dance next week! :) I think she is going to have a great time!!!!
8. Did I mention that poor Tyler has contracted the sniffles/cold/funk that Taryn brought home? I hate it for her.....there are only so many boogies that the little blue bulb can extract, and it's NEVER pleasant!
9. I always find a project around the house for Labor Day weekend. This year I want to paint the girls' bathroom. I am sticking with the same color scheme as my accents, just getting rid of the "contractor's white" paint......oh, and I bought a new shower curtain.
10. Mark wants me to nix the bathroom project and finish all of his uniform shadowboxes. I have already done both his old blue and black police uniforms....and that was like 2 yrs ago. Still left: Air Force standard camo, desert camo, and Dress Blues. I don't get it, but he wants me to cut the fronts off so they fit in the frame. I don't really care about the others, but I am having a hard time convincing myself to cut his dress uniform. I know he will never get back into is as he was about 150lb when he wore it, but I really think one of my girls will want it.....or maybe a grandson (that is, if we ever are blessed with any testosterone somewhere down the line in our family).
11. BONUS: I am so happy to start seeing signs of FALL!!!!!! :) It's my favorite season.

10 on Tuesday
1. I am joining the "10 on Tuesday Crowd". There are always so many things going on, and I look forward to sharing the little snippets of life without writing a novel!
2. Yesterday was Taryn's very first day of preschool. I called to check on her around 1, and the day was issue-free......until 5:05. Two bathroom accidents and then Taryn dropped her last clean pair of clothes in the potty!!!! How does that happen?
3. My ego was a little crushed that Taryn had no problem with me leaving her yesterday morning. That all changed when I picked her up. She about knocked me down with hugs, and "Mommy, I missed you so much" followed by sobbing. I am pretty sure it was because the only other kid left in her class had left and she didn't have anyone else to play with.
4. School has ALREADY called today. Another bathroom accident BEFORE 9AM.....and after all the promises of "light-up" shoes Daddy said she would get if she didn't have any "accidents" today. We know they aren't accidents. She is just too consumed with playing or doesn't want leave something for fear someone else may want it.....
5. Taryn said she doesn't want to go to school anymore, and that she misses me. Daddy is going by school today to have a "Coming to Jesus" meeting with her, and to drop off more clothes because I fear the 4 outfits I dropped off this morning will be spent before noon!
6. Tyler did just fine at Granny's house......she hasn't started the separation anxiety portion of life to care that I wasn't around all day.
7. Miss Tyler Grey is 4weeks old today. She has already changed so much! Focusing more and more everyday, and chunking up too.
8. Work is going well. I am pretty busy. The day moves along pretty fast.
9. I went to see the Time Traveler's Wife on Sunday. It was really good! I want to read the book, but I don't have any spare time at the moment.
10. Oooh! I have started doing P90X in the mornings. I am already up by 5 feeding Thing 2, might as well use that time wisely! I don't quite have the time for the whole hour of it, but it's a start. I feel better and more productive during the day! :)

Time Flies!
Where has the time gone? Today is my first official day back at work. Ugh. I am dragging today. Part of the reason is Tyler.....she is sleeping a whole lot better, and I got a new monitor which I LOVE!!!!! We had a video monitor for Taryn, but sometime around her 18mo. or so the screen blew up. Although I thought a video monitor was unnecessary (our house is not THAT big, and we are all on the same floor) I found it to be reassuring that I could glance over during the night and just watch her......I could do that for hours! We tried getting another of the same model etc., because Taryn's camera would still work and we could watch both kiddies on different channels. No such luck! :-( Tyler is also a belly-sleeper! I know, I know.....I must be crazy b/c of SIDS and all, but when the child will only sleep for about 1 hour at a time on her back, you'd go a little crazy too! So, after beating myself up for about 3 weeks and doing some online research I bit the bullet! Several parents online mentioned this motion monitor that you put under the mattress and it senses movement and sound. If the child is completely still for 20 seconds an alarm will sound. This thing is sensitive enough to sense her breathe!!!!! It's not too terribly expensive either. Babies R us had it for $100, but I found one on craigslist for $60....SCORE!!!!! It works like a charm, and I have actually had 3 nights of decent sleep.....and so has Tyler! YAY!!!!!! So much better, be we all know that if "Momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!" She is quite the alarm clock none the less! :) We got up around 4:30, I was working out by 5:15, and in the shower by 6:15.....so far off to a great start! Mark had Taryn up and dressed and she was eating breakfast by the time I was ready :) Yay!!! Today was a day for a lot of firsts. I dropped Tyler off for her first full day at Granny's house around 7. That wasn't quite as hard as leaving Taryn the first time, but I guess after almost 4 yrs of dropping off the first child it kind of prepares you for the second child. Then it was Taryn's turn......her first day of preschool. :-( I cannot believe my baby is so big, so fast. She is a little person. I went a little crazy with the camera, but I am so proud of the little girl she has become. Of course I want her to grow up, but it never occurred to me that it would hurt this bad. It hurts my heart to know that she doesn't need me quite like I need her. :-( I remember back when she was Tyler's size and how I could just watch and hold her for hours. It does make me cherish the time with Tyler a little more knowing that time does fly by and there will not be anymore baby-babies in our house........ So I am probably still a little hormonal, and today has already been a pretty big day. I know my girls are perfectly fine......I am just trying hang in there, hoping that I can make it through the day without calling to check on them both 800 times today......okay, maybe just once. ;-p

Three Weeks
Miss Tyler Grey is three weeks old today. It already feels like she has been with us forever. Taryn is super proud, although Granddaddy managed to convince Taryn to trade Tyler in for a new puppy! I know she would love to have a puppy, but I am sure in a few months she will love playing with Tyler! :) We have been some busy girls lately! Last week, we went to Va. Beach to visit Great-Grandma Craig, and Sunday we were in Goldsboro for lunch with Great-Grandmama "Coy" as Taryn calls her. We have had a great time. Pretty soon I will head back to work, Taryn will start daycare/school, and Tyler will start going to Granny's house. :( The time has flown by, but we all need to get in a routine! This week Taryn is off in the mountains with Granny and Papa, so Tyler and I have been doing our own thing. Yesterday we went to the office. Today we have been chilling at home, because we had a rough night! I will try to make into the office again tomorrow, but we will see! :)

Play Ball.....Bombers!
Well, we arrived home Thursday around 1pm and we have been on the go ever since......First up, Taryn's VERY FIRST T-ball game!
Tyler had a dr. appointment Saturday morning. She had dropped to 5lb. 10oz by the time we left the hospital and she was a little jaundice. Good news, she was up to 5lb. 130z at on saturday. Here she is getting a tan to reduce her jaundice! We went back to the dr. on Monday and she was up to 5lb. 15oz. almost back at birthweight! They say babies should be back up to birthweight by day 10, and was a 1/2 oz shy on day 6! :)

5lb. 15.60z
So, I am a little behind.....I have been busy! :) Little Miss Tyler was born July 21. I started having pretty serious contractions Monday (20) night on the way home from work. I told Mark, but we weren't really sure that this was is it. With Taryn my water broke and there was no mistaking it. Mark kept thinking that since it broke last time that it would this time...... I had to go by my instructions that the Dr. Office gave me. After about two hours of steady contractions, I called the hospital. To my surprise, Dr. Bird was on call......YAY!!!!! She delivered Taryn, too! :) Anyway, we dropped Taryn off with Mark's parents on our way to the hospital. We got in and about two hours later, NOTHING! The contractions had slowed down, and I was only about 3 cm. Dr. Bird broke my water around 3:45am and the contractions picked up, and slowed again. Around 7:45am she decided to start pitocin. I think my nurse had it high becuase as soon as one contraction would end another began! I got a new nurse at 8, and by 9 I was begging for an epidural! I also got a new dr. at 8.... :( boo, but Dr. Chappel was great! Once I got the epidural, my nurse said that I shouldn't feel anything and would hopefully be able to get some sleep while the pitocin did it's stuff......hahahahaha, yeah right! I think the epidural made me progress faster because by 11:15 or so they were calling for the dr. because it was "baby time"...... a little prep work and 4 pushes later Tyler was here! :) Born in the same room, on the same day of the month as Taryn, and had she arrived before 8am she would have had the same Dr.!
