10 on Tuesday

1. I am super tired today. I think with Mark being gone all week/weekend I haven't caught much of a break, and then SURPRISE, it's Monday again! Maybe i can go to bed earlier tonight. :)

2. Tyler seems to be doing a little better on the Zantac. She has only had two doses of it, so I am sure it hasn't miraculously worked overnight! Hopefully it just gets better as the week progresses.

3. I had my The Poppy Seed party on Saturday. We did really well despite the yucky damp misty weather.

4. I booked Taryn's Birthday Party yesterday. It's going to be at Palace Pointe. I was shooting for Oct. 24 around lunchtime so we could get home and make it to one of my 10yr High school reunions without having to clean the house before and after......plus If my parents stay, then they can babysit for us! :) Some other company has booked the space for the whole day Saturday, so we are doing it on Sunday the 25th.

5. we are getting closer and closer to camping this year! :) I am super excited! We didn't go last year because of the burn ban........if you can't have a campfire, what's the point of camping!? This will be Taryn's first year, too! Tyler will be chillin in Pittsboro with my parents for the weekend.......her first trip away from Mommy, and our first night apart. :(

6. I love this beautiful fall weather! I think I could manage if it was always 60/70.....although I would miss what little snow we get, and the sweltering days at the pool.

7. I wish I could get out a little more and enjoy the weather. by the time I pick up both kiddies I need to start dinner, and baths, and book time. I try to make it out to some of Mark's softball games, but I feel like I am running around crazy! First to pick up Taryn by 6, then east to Granny's to get Tyler then back west past school to the ballgame. I was planning on picking up Tyler first today, but we had a few issues with her car seat/stroller. she spit up all over the car seat, so it's in the wash. We tried going to the ballgame last night, but the torrential downpour came when we were about a mile from the park. The stroller that was in the back of the truck was drenched and remains in our garage to dry out. I fear I won't get all my stuff, scoop up Tyler and pickup Taryn before 6.

8. Work seems to be picking up. :) I have been pretty busy all summer before and after Tyler was born, but some others haven't been so lucky. Thankfully we are getting some more work in, and he are all pretty busy. Now, if we can just keep this going through Dec/Jan/Feb, which is our slow time, we will be ecstatic!

9. As mentioned above, I have my 10 yr reunion coming up! :) I am so grateful that I have been included in it......I didn't graduate from there. I moved to Edenton right after my sophomore year, but I spent more time with those in Oxford........still, I don't have those lifelong friends from early childhood, but I remember some good times in Oxford! :) I look forward to seeing everyone again, although it will be like pulling teeth to get Mark to go!

10. I know it's early, but I have already started Christmas shopping!!!!! That's what happens when I host The Poppy Seed party! It's really easy to shop in my own living room. My nieces are DONE! I got a few other people done as well, but they read this blog! :) It's going to be a tight year, but I imagine it will be for everyone.......now I just need to back up a few Holidays and decorate for fall/Halloween!

2 Month Check-up

Tyler had her 2 month check-up today. For the past several weeks we have been dealing with a bit of reflux. We had switched her over to soy for the reflux problem, but that caused some constipation. My poor baby! If it wasn't one problem, it was the other. So today we went in and I told the doctor about both issues....it just hurt me to see my angel in such pain! So tonight we will start her on zantac, and will be switching back to the old formula for the IN. She also recommended we put a little Karo syrup or milk of magnesia in one bottle a day to help with the OUT. :) Hopefully she will have some relief VERY soon! She weighed in today at 10lb-4oz and 22 inches long. she is just below the 50th percentile, but she started off around the 25th, so we are making progress! She has been smiling at us for a week or two now, and just loves to coo.....that is when she is not screaming from reflux, screaming from constipation, eating, or sleeping......so about a total of 45min throughout the day. :) We love it, and I just love to snuggle with both my girls at night! Her are some random pictures from the past few weeks.

10 on Tuesday

1. Mark leaves for Orlando tonight. He is playing in the World softball tournament. Yay, go JMS!

2. The girls and I will be rather busy this week. Taryn had t-ball last night. Tonight and tomorrow night will be spent preparing for my Poppy Seed Party on Saturday. Thursday is dance night followed by her last t-ball game.....and more prep for Saturday.

3. This year I am glad I procrastinated on the Labor Day project. As stated a couple of posts ago, I pick a painting project to do over the long weekend. This year I had picked the girls' bathroom......now I am glad I didn't do it. We have talked for years about putting in a bathroom up stairs. When we were building we asked to have it roughed in. It wasn't and we were so ready to move in we let it go. Now in order for them to do it, they have to go through sheet rock. The main wall they need is the one b/w Taryn's room and her bathroom. THEY WILL NOT BE CUTTING THE SHEETROCK IN HER ROOM!!!!!!!! There is no way for me to repaint to match that. So I will put off that bathroom project until plumbing construction/patching is done! :)

4. Now on to the upstairs bathroom project. Mark and I have different views......he wants the whole attic to be converted. I don't. 1. I don't think we need a guest bathroom to be that large. 2. I don't want to give up the only full-height storage that i have!

5. Today is the first day of fall. :) Yippee! I feel a picnic coming on.....well, if only the rain would subside.

6. We worked on the garage this past weekend. a few years ago we painted the floor with "special" paint. it wasn't supposed to peel, made especially for that application. Guess what. It peeled. :( So we knew we got what we paid for. this time we went all out.....i wasn't thrilled because, of course, he chose the one that I didn't have a coupon for.....just because he could get the blue paint instead of grey......errrrr. and I had a 20% off coupon, and that stuff was just as good!

7. So our little "weekend project" spilled into Monday. Last night I was applying clear-coat sealant while he installed new casters on his work bench that we have only moved about 6 times before realizing those would be a good investment! Yay, us! We got all the big stuff in this morning. The rest will make in when I am good and ready to drag it from the shed because he will be gone til Sunday, and I think I have enough to do.

8. oh! Tyler is now 2 months old. She has found her voice and talks to us occasionally. She smiles too. It's the cutest thing!

9. I am trying to melt away the baby fat..... I walk during lunch (weather permitting), I try to get in some walking/running when we are at the park for ballgames, and I have reduced my calorie intake. I think I am doing okay, for the most part. I still have 13lb to go to get back to pre-prego weight. I don't really see 13lbs, but that's what the scale is telling me. I wonder if Mark has rigged the scale?

10. Maybe, just maybe I can get around to reorganizing my closet this weekend. I have only been trying to do that for the past four weekends. I pull out maternity clothes, which are "organized" into piles in the bedroom, and I have been bringing down totes and bags full of my regular clothes. Those are also "organized" in the bedroom. it's starting to drive me crazy looking at the mess....especially with people coming over this weekend, most of which have not been there and will most likely ask for a tour. I can't hide the bedroom, although, I can close the closet door! I think I see an episode of "Tom and Jerry" coming to mind......if I open the door I will be buried by a mound of stuff.

10 on Tuesday

1. I think this is going to be a short list this week......I will make it to #10, but there won't be much to them.

2. Today is my sister's birthday. Taryn called her this morning and left her a very sweet message, which Lisa was quite impressed with.

3. Tyler seems to be doing MUCH better on the soy formula! :) She has even been smiling and chatting with us!

4. Taryn's t-ball season is dragging on and on. It was only supposed to be for the month of May.....it didn't even start until July 24th! I don't think there have been two weeks in a row that she's had a game. The last two were supposed to be this Thursday and next Monday.....changed again! Now the last one is next Thursday at 6.....she gets out of dance at 5:45 15min away from the ball field......ugh. I think she will be leaving dance early, but I won't have any help that week.

5. Mark leaves for Orlando next Wed/Thurs.....hence the lack of help next week for activities. He will be gone until sometime Sunday. Boo.

6. That is the perfect recipe for a little girls' weekend with Meggie though! :) She will be coming in on Friday and we will be hosting a Poppy Seed Shopping Spree at my house! :) check her out at www.atouchofsocialcharm.com

7. This Sunday (20th) is our 6yr wedding anniversary/10yrs together. He was so cute the other night.....I was snuggling with Tyler and he with Taryn and he just looked at me and said, "Wow, would you have ever thought 10yrs ago this is what we'd be doing?" I am thankful for the journey we have been on and look forward to the adventure ahead!

8. I just love Fall. I am trying to get my walking in during lunch since I can't find the time or energy to do anything at home.

9. We had a fabulous baby shower at church this past Sunday! We got TONS of diapers and wipes.....so thankful and blessed!

10. We have a fairly busy weekend ahead of us. Taryn is going to Pittsboro to spend the weekend with Grandma and Granddad.....I haven't told her yet, because she will ask me EVERYDAY, "Is today the day that I get to go to Grandma and Granddad's house?" It will drive me nuts, so I will spare myself the duty of explaining that to her every morning. I will probably tell her Thursday when I am packing her bags! :)

10 on......what day is today?

1. I almost forgot about "10 on Tuesday", because I was almost sure today was Monday.

2. We had a super busy weekend. Saturday we were up and at-em eating breakfast and Taryn and I cleaned the house before we went out to the Duke/Richmond game.

3. Sunday was Tyler's first Trip to Lake Gaston. She wasn't too thrilled to be there. :-(

4. I thought Tyler was just going to be a fussy baby. Mark says she is difficult. I think I have finally figured out that she has a reflux problem. Typically, if she is awake she's not happy. I just switched her over to soy formula and I have a call in to the Doctor's office to see if there is anything I can give her until our next appointment in two weeks. I really don't want to make another appointment for her, but I can tell she's in pain too.

5. Yesterday we had planned to do a little yard work then hit the pool.....I am sad to say that we didn't make it on the last day. It was a little too chilly and overcast! We did manage to plant some rose bushes, weed, and break down the garden.

6. We did make it over to Mark's Great Uncle George's house to visit with Poncho....the donkey.

7. Oh, day one of dance last week went fairly well. Taryn just stood and held Heather's hand for the first five minutes or so......no stopping, shuffling or tapping of the tap shoes. :-( She started to warm up to the idea of it all, though. On the way home she said that next time she wanted me to take her to dance class, leave dance class, then come back and get her after dance class. I guess I have the go-ahead to run some errands or just plain run downtown.

8. This Thursday I will be running around like a mad woman. Leave my office in Durham at 330 to get T, take her to dance in Roxboro from 5-545 THEN haul her halfway to Burlington for T-ball game at 7......pppheww I am already tired.

9. Mark and I are coming up on our 6-yr anniversary. Wow. I am not quite sure how we have put up with each other so long.....we've been together for 10yrs.

10. Last week Taryn picked up something else at school........a hillbilly accent. I know we live out in the country and all, and we tend to use country slang, but she sure has let out new ones lately. Daddy: pronounce DEE-A-DEE. I can see, Deddy or Diddy but she is adding syllables people! Scratch: pronounced SKEE-A-RACH. Kills me! oh, and the infamous YE-UP. Fantastic.

10 on Tuesday

1. Today is SEPTEMBER 1st. Not technically fall, but hey, close enough for me! :)

2. Today is the first day at work without one of my best friends. :( Having spent just about everyday together for 6yrs, this is like quiting cold-turkey. I am not trilled, but I hope she has a blast on her new adventure!

3. Taryn had her first drop-off meltdown at daycare today. I am positive it was because there were some younger kids freaking out when we arrived and she just played off of them. It still hurt my feelings, but I know as soon as I drove off she went to "play kitchen".

4. We got Taryn and Tyler a kitchen! :) We have it hidden for now, but I imagine it will find it's way out soon.

5. Tyler is six weeks old today......which also means that I have my six week appt. today. Fun, Fun!

6. I am excited about the long weekend. Last week I mentioned my annual Labor Day Weekend Project. It does not appear that I will be able to do all the painting. We have a Duke Football Game to attend....Mark's Dad works for the team, and it's Kid's Day, so we have tix and are ready for a great time. It's also the last weekend the pool will be open. :( I think Taryn will need to get in a few more jumps off the diving board to hold her over til next year! Oh, and maybe a trip to lake, too......see, no time for painting!

7. I am desperately trying to get in all my continuing ed classes. For my license, I have to log 15 hours of continuing ed a year. I have 5 rolled over from last year, and I have til December to get them all in, but I know if I wait, I will have a hard time finding nice cheap ones! I will be in Raleigh tomorrow morning for 3.5 credits and Durham tomorrow afternoon for 2 more.

8. Mark has become addicted to Facebook. I tried to tell him a year ago that he needed one.....now I think he may check his as much as I do mine!

9. I am getting my mop cut today. :) It has gotten a little to stringy for me, and no matter how cute it looks when I fix it in the morning, it always looks like a mop by the time I make it to work. :(

10. Taryn start dance this week! Last night we tried on her leotard to make sure it fit. I would hate to wait til the last minute to find out it's too small. She looked so cute! It's black and has the little skirt attached. All she wanted to do was spin around. Mark is so cute too. He asked what was required in case he wanted to get her some more dance stuff! :) I think I may need proof of him going into a dance shop and buying a leotard!

I hope everyone has a great day!!!!! :)

10 on Tuesday

1. Taryn finished out the first week of daycare on a positive note! :) We went out Friday night and bought her some "Light-up Shoes" as promised.

2. Not only did Taryn bring home light-ups shoes at the end of the week......she brought home a virus too. :( She had a super high fever of 103.7......she never has a fever that high. So we went to the doctor on Sunday. Not strep, not flu. Not sure what she has. Fantastic.

3. Taryn got to stay home with Daddy yesterday and rest. Tyler joined them that afternoon.

4. I've posted a few blogs today, trying to catch up.

5. I am meeting with a former coworker for lunch today! I haven't seen her since December. :(

6. I should be meeting my cousin sometime for lunch this week, too, as she plans to focus on her own business for while, and won't be coming to this side of Raleigh anymore. :( I was so getting used to our monthly lunch dates.

7. I am getting very excited about Taryn starting dance next week! :) I think she is going to have a great time!!!!

8. Did I mention that poor Tyler has contracted the sniffles/cold/funk that Taryn brought home? I hate it for her.....there are only so many boogies that the little blue bulb can extract, and it's NEVER pleasant!

9. I always find a project around the house for Labor Day weekend. This year I want to paint the girls' bathroom. I am sticking with the same color scheme as my accents, just getting rid of the "contractor's white" paint......oh, and I bought a new shower curtain.

10. Mark wants me to nix the bathroom project and finish all of his uniform shadowboxes. I have already done both his old blue and black police uniforms....and that was like 2 yrs ago. Still left: Air Force standard camo, desert camo, and Dress Blues. I don't get it, but he wants me to cut the fronts off so they fit in the frame. I don't really care about the others, but I am having a hard time convincing myself to cut his dress uniform. I know he will never get back into is as he was about 150lb when he wore it, but I really think one of my girls will want it.....or maybe a grandson (that is, if we ever are blessed with any testosterone somewhere down the line in our family).

11. BONUS: I am so happy to start seeing signs of FALL!!!!!! :) It's my favorite season.

Tyler Grey is 1 month old!

Wow, my girls are growing up so fast! First, Taryn in preschool....now Tyler is 1mo. old (8/21/09)!

Back to School Days! :)

Since most of the area kids are headed back to school today, I remembered that I did not post any pictures of Taryn's first day of Preschool. She was thrilled......I was a basketcase!

10 on Tuesday

1. I am joining the "10 on Tuesday Crowd". There are always so many things going on, and I look forward to sharing the little snippets of life without writing a novel!

2. Yesterday was Taryn's very first day of preschool. I called to check on her around 1, and the day was issue-free......until 5:05. Two bathroom accidents and then Taryn dropped her last clean pair of clothes in the potty!!!! How does that happen?

3. My ego was a little crushed that Taryn had no problem with me leaving her yesterday morning. That all changed when I picked her up. She about knocked me down with hugs, and "Mommy, I missed you so much" followed by sobbing. I am pretty sure it was because the only other kid left in her class had left and she didn't have anyone else to play with.

4. School has ALREADY called today. Another bathroom accident BEFORE 9AM.....and after all the promises of "light-up" shoes Daddy said she would get if she didn't have any "accidents" today. We know they aren't accidents. She is just too consumed with playing or doesn't want leave something for fear someone else may want it.....

5. Taryn said she doesn't want to go to school anymore, and that she misses me. Daddy is going by school today to have a "Coming to Jesus" meeting with her, and to drop off more clothes because I fear the 4 outfits I dropped off this morning will be spent before noon!

6. Tyler did just fine at Granny's house......she hasn't started the separation anxiety portion of life to care that I wasn't around all day.

7. Miss Tyler Grey is 4weeks old today. She has already changed so much! Focusing more and more everyday, and chunking up too.

8. Work is going well. I am pretty busy. The day moves along pretty fast.

9. I went to see the Time Traveler's Wife on Sunday. It was really good! I want to read the book, but I don't have any spare time at the moment.

10. Oooh! I have started doing P90X in the mornings. I am already up by 5 feeding Thing 2, might as well use that time wisely! I don't quite have the time for the whole hour of it, but it's a start. I feel better and more productive during the day! :)

Time Flies!

Where has the time gone? Today is my first official day back at work. Ugh. I am dragging today. Part of the reason is Tyler.....she is sleeping a whole lot better, and I got a new monitor which I LOVE!!!!! We had a video monitor for Taryn, but sometime around her 18mo. or so the screen blew up. Although I thought a video monitor was unnecessary (our house is not THAT big, and we are all on the same floor) I found it to be reassuring that I could glance over during the night and just watch her......I could do that for hours! We tried getting another of the same model etc., because Taryn's camera would still work and we could watch both kiddies on different channels. No such luck! :-( Tyler is also a belly-sleeper! I know, I know.....I must be crazy b/c of SIDS and all, but when the child will only sleep for about 1 hour at a time on her back, you'd go a little crazy too! So, after beating myself up for about 3 weeks and doing some online research I bit the bullet! Several parents online mentioned this motion monitor that you put under the mattress and it senses movement and sound. If the child is completely still for 20 seconds an alarm will sound. This thing is sensitive enough to sense her breathe!!!!! It's not too terribly expensive either. Babies R us had it for $100, but I found one on craigslist for $60....SCORE!!!!! It works like a charm, and I have actually had 3 nights of decent sleep.....and so has Tyler! YAY!!!!!! So much better, be we all know that if "Momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!" She is quite the alarm clock none the less! :) We got up around 4:30, I was working out by 5:15, and in the shower by 6:15.....so far off to a great start! Mark had Taryn up and dressed and she was eating breakfast by the time I was ready :) Yay!!! Today was a day for a lot of firsts. I dropped Tyler off for her first full day at Granny's house around 7. That wasn't quite as hard as leaving Taryn the first time, but I guess after almost 4 yrs of dropping off the first child it kind of prepares you for the second child. Then it was Taryn's turn......her first day of preschool. :-( I cannot believe my baby is so big, so fast. She is a little person. I went a little crazy with the camera, but I am so proud of the little girl she has become. Of course I want her to grow up, but it never occurred to me that it would hurt this bad. It hurts my heart to know that she doesn't need me quite like I need her. :-( I remember back when she was Tyler's size and how I could just watch and hold her for hours. It does make me cherish the time with Tyler a little more knowing that time does fly by and there will not be anymore baby-babies in our house........ So I am probably still a little hormonal, and today has already been a pretty big day. I know my girls are perfectly fine......I am just trying hang in there, hoping that I can make it through the day without calling to check on them both 800 times today......okay, maybe just once. ;-p

Three Weeks

Miss Tyler Grey is three weeks old today. It already feels like she has been with us forever. Taryn is super proud, although Granddaddy managed to convince Taryn to trade Tyler in for a new puppy! I know she would love to have a puppy, but I am sure in a few months she will love playing with Tyler! :) We have been some busy girls lately! Last week, we went to Va. Beach to visit Great-Grandma Craig, and Sunday we were in Goldsboro for lunch with Great-Grandmama "Coy" as Taryn calls her. We have had a great time. Pretty soon I will head back to work, Taryn will start daycare/school, and Tyler will start going to Granny's house. :( The time has flown by, but we all need to get in a routine! This week Taryn is off in the mountains with Granny and Papa, so Tyler and I have been doing our own thing. Yesterday we went to the office. Today we have been chilling at home, because we had a rough night! I will try to make into the office again tomorrow, but we will see! :)

With Great Grandmama

Such a great big sister!

Kinda morbid, I know, but we have done this since Hallie. We take each new baby to "meet" my Pappy....... I call it the "Simba Moment". We take a single pink rose, babies breath (how appropriate) and an "It's a Girl" balloon to the Mausoleum where my grandfather was laid to rest. We "present" the baby to him like Mufasa did with Simba in the Lion King. He's way up there, like the fourth one up or so, and we have to get on a chair just to put the flowers up.... Pappy took such pride in his granddaughters, I just wish he was here to enjoy his great-granddaughters. I know he watches over us all, and I miss him greatly.

Play Ball.....Bombers!

Well, we arrived home Thursday around 1pm and we have been on the go ever since......First up, Taryn's VERY FIRST T-ball game!
Tyler had a dr. appointment Saturday morning. She had dropped to 5lb. 10oz by the time we left the hospital and she was a little jaundice. Good news, she was up to 5lb. 130z at on saturday. Here she is getting a tan to reduce her jaundice! We went back to the dr. on Monday and she was up to 5lb. 15oz. almost back at birthweight! They say babies should be back up to birthweight by day 10, and was a 1/2 oz shy on day 6! :)

Hallie was so sweet! She made Tyler a book!

5lb. 15.60z

So, I am a little behind.....I have been busy! :) Little Miss Tyler was born July 21. I started having pretty serious contractions Monday (20) night on the way home from work. I told Mark, but we weren't really sure that this was is it. With Taryn my water broke and there was no mistaking it. Mark kept thinking that since it broke last time that it would this time...... I had to go by my instructions that the Dr. Office gave me. After about two hours of steady contractions, I called the hospital. To my surprise, Dr. Bird was on call......YAY!!!!! She delivered Taryn, too! :) Anyway, we dropped Taryn off with Mark's parents on our way to the hospital. We got in and about two hours later, NOTHING! The contractions had slowed down, and I was only about 3 cm. Dr. Bird broke my water around 3:45am and the contractions picked up, and slowed again. Around 7:45am she decided to start pitocin. I think my nurse had it high becuase as soon as one contraction would end another began! I got a new nurse at 8, and by 9 I was begging for an epidural! I also got a new dr. at 8.... :( boo, but Dr. Chappel was great! Once I got the epidural, my nurse said that I shouldn't feel anything and would hopefully be able to get some sleep while the pitocin did it's stuff......hahahahaha, yeah right! I think the epidural made me progress faster because by 11:15 or so they were calling for the dr. because it was "baby time"...... a little prep work and 4 pushes later Tyler was here! :) Born in the same room, on the same day of the month as Taryn, and had she arrived before 8am she would have had the same Dr.!

Things are happening......

Nothing major, but I have had several rounds of contractions over the past few days. I never had that with Taryn. My experience was close to one that you would see on TV, the kind that I told Mark would NEVER happen......it's just TV people! No, my water didn't break in the middle of the produce aisle of Harris Teeter or in a department store, however I had no inclination that things were happening until my water broke in the car on the way home from work one afternoon! So, just to keep everyone posted..... Tyler is due NEXT WEDNESDAY JULY 22. We'll see if she waits that long or maybe longer. :)

All is Well

Thank you to all who have asked how the ultrasound on Friday went! :) I am happy to report that all is well on the home front! :) I am still measuring about 3 centimeters smaller than I should, but Miss Tyler is doing just fine. They estimate her current weight to be about 6lb40z with a ballpark birth weight in the "high sixes". She measured right on target for 36 weeks, had plenty of fluid.....and a full bladder....and is "in position"! :) It won't be too much longer now! I can't wait to meet her!
We head out Saturday for the Annual McCoy Lake Gaston Vacation. It will be an abbreviated one this year, as I need to save my time up for maternity leave, but it will be action packed, I am sure! Here's hoping Tyler won't make her arrival early, on the full moon, on the 7th, in the middle of vacation! :o)

Weekly Visits

Well, last Friday officially started my weekly appointments to the Dr. All in all, everything is still moving forward. My weight was on track, my blood preassure was a teensy bit high for me, and they say I am still measuring small..... :-( There are a whole host of things that may contribute to measuring small. Tyler could just be a tiny girl, she may have already sunk down low in my pelvis, among other things. I think it's because she is kinda in there all sideways and they are measuring me from top-to-bottom. I am no expert by any means, but she is just a moving around in there, so I am trying to not get all worked up about it! They have ordered an ultrasound for this Friday to see what the deal is.......They also mentioned something about checking my dates!!!! They better not readjust for further out! According to my calendar and the first two ultrasounds everything was right on the money for July 22......guess we will find out what the deal is in two days! I also want them to verify that we are having a baby girl. Her heart rate has kinda always been in the low "girl" range, and I don't really recall the Ultrasound Tech clearly pointing out anything on the ultrasound for us back in Feb. No to mention, a family member of a friend, who is also due in July, found out in Feb that they were having a girl......only to find out a few weeks ago, that "she" is a "HE"!!!! Yikes!!!! After the showers and room were all complete, no less!!!! So that is my little red flag. I am not 100% sure, and I WANT TO KNOW!!!!! Mark has said I would have some serious redecorating to do if that is the case! I have also started packing my bag for the hospital. I packed several "girly" onsies and a few white ones....just in case. Mark said he could deal if his son had to wear pink just for one day, if it came down to that! See, he is not really helping me out here!
We hope everyone is doing well, and I will let you know what they tell us on Friday!

Catching Up

So, I have let a few days slide since my last post......okay, so a few weekends. We spent part of our Memorial Day Weekend at Gigi's house on Lake Gaston, and had a blast!

Strangely enough, this reminds me of 4 other little girls that would float around for hours at Nag's Head in the '80s! :)

Nothing New

Same 'ol, same 'ol around here. I am now 31 weeks pregnant and Twinkle is making her presence known! At times I think she is going to exit through my side! I can't believe she will be here in 9 weeks +/-!!!! All went well at the doctor's office yesterday, so there is nothing new to harp on. This past weekend we made a trip to Greenville for Anna's 3rd birthday party.

This weekend is Memorial Day Weekend, and we have some fun activities planned. First up, we will be heading to Lake Gaston for the day on Saturday. Then we will be *chillin* at the pool for the rest of the weekend. Pun intended for "chillin" as I fear the water will be quite icy after the past couple of nights we have had.....and I know that will not stop Taryn!

Baby Update

So I went to the Dr. yesterday. There is not really much to tell.......I am on the every two weeks appoinment progam at the moment. Blood pressure was good, Baby Girl's heart rate was good.....even my weight was good! Imagine my surprise after two weeks of eating insane amounts of food on various vacations I didn't gain even a fraction of a pound! HOW CAN THIS BE!!!!???? My guess is the 1200 miles I walked between Disney, Sea World, and my brisk walks during lunch! I know I am supposed to be gaining........ but the Dr. didn't even flinch at it. So I am cool with it. It's not like I am dieting or anything! Just ask Mark. He gets a little pissy at night because he has put himself on a low calorie/high protein diet, and the desserts that Taryn and I indulge in after dinner don't really fit in! :) Oh well!

Disney World and More!

Okay, so I am a little behind. That's what I get for trying to take two long weekends off in a row! We had a FABULOUS trip to Disney World two weekends ago! :) It was a little rushed at times, but we only went down of four days and hit two parks, all with trying to meet airline schedules too! Normally we need a vacation from our vacations, but we all had a blast! Each night Taryn would say that she was ready to go home and sleep in her bed, but by the middle of the next morning's activities she didn't want to leave!

This past weekend we had a grown-up night out with my parents and Lisa and Chad. We went to Norfolk to see the Virginia International Tattoo. After that we spent Sunday cleaning, compounding, and waxing the boat.....gotta get ready for the annual McCoy Gaston Lake Vacay! :)
